What is the difference between individual and team licences?
Individual licences (1–5 users) include a fixed signature quota in the price. Team licences (from 6 users) include the platform licence — signatures are billed separately on a pay-per-use or prepaid basis.
What happens when I use up my signature quota?
With individual licences, additional signatures are billed at the listed per-signature price. With team licences, you pay per use or can purchase discounted prepaid packages.
Can I switch from an individual licence to a team licence?
Yes, switching is possible at any time. Contact us and we will find the right solution for your growth.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, we offer a free trial phase. We are happy to show you actaSIGN first in a personal demo.
How is actaSIGN billed?
actaSIGN is billed annually — the prices shown are monthly rates for easy comparison. If you start mid-year, you only pay for the remaining months until year-end (pro rata). From the following year, the full annual price applies.
How do prepaid packages work?
Prepaid packages are valid until the end of the calendar year. If you start mid-year, the package price is pro-rated for the remaining months. Unused credits cannot currently be carried over to the following year. Our tip: start with a smaller package and see how long it lasts — based on your actual usage, we will recommend the right package for you.
What contract terms are available?
All licences run on a calendar-year basis. When starting mid-year, billing is pro-rated — from the following year, the full annual price applies. Enterprise customers receive custom conditions.
What counts as a user?
A user is a person who creates, sends, and manages signing requests. People who are invited to sign (external signers) do not need their own account and are free — no matter how many.
What is the difference between 'per signature' and 'per signing process'?
With 'per signature', each individual signature is counted. With 'per signing process', you pay a flat rate per document — whether 1 or 6 people sign. The signing process model is especially worthwhile for contracts with multiple parties.
Can I use actaSIGN as a German or Austrian company?
Yes. actaSIGN is eIDAS compliant and therefore valid in all EU/EEA member states. Prices are displayed in CHF and EUR. Swisscom Trust Services is on the EU Trust List — your signatures are legally valid in Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein too.
In which currency can I pay?
Prices are listed in CHF and can also be displayed in EUR (converted at the current rate). On request, we also issue invoices in EUR.
